One of the things I love about this job is how much I get to learn about a variety of subjects. Being a copywriter means writing about everything, from avocado oil to tattoos to solar panels.

But to write about these topics, I first need to learn about them. I can spend hours reading everything I can find and watching YouTube videos on a subject, falling into the rabbit hole until I suddenly realise it’s 2 a.m.

And I love it! Do you know the difference between avocado oil and virgin avocado oil? Do you know why tattoos fade over time? Do you know how a solar panel turns sunlight into electricity? I do.

Copywriting is the perfect job for me because I get to learn many different things about a wide range of subjects. Here are three examples of clients I currently write for at Whippet Digital. Three surprisingly different businesses in very contrasting industries. I’ll explain what they do, what I find most fascinating about their industry, and how we help them.

Client one: Next Group

What they do

Next Group are at the forefront of the revolution in smart homes and home automation, bringing cutting-edge technology to homes across New Zealand. They specialise in creating high-end audiovisual solutions tailored for residential and commercial spaces, combining cutting-edge technology with elegant design to deliver seamless experiences for their clients.

What I love about this client

When I was a kid, home automation was the stuff of science fiction. You’d see it on TV shows and in movies, but no one had anything like this in real life. Now, with the advent of the internet and wireless technology, all the devices in our home can be connected together, bringing my childhood dreams to life!

I loved learning about how home automation works, the technology involved, and how it all fits together. Discovering what it can do – like turn on the heating, pull the curtains, and heat up your home before your arrival from work makes me want to invest in a smart home!

Client two: immago

What they do

For half a century, immago (formerly Image Label Sytems) has been providing innovative label and packaging solutions for apparel brands around the world. From small boutique operations to major international brand names, immago has helped with branding, packaging, labelling, and marketing using its impressive supply network throughout Asia and the South Pacific.

If you have a clothing brand, these are the guys to call!

What I love about this client

You might think writing about clothing labels would be boring, but far from it! What I really love about immago is their global network. They have ten offices worldwide, with clients from all over the planet. I’ve written separate blog posts on each country immago is located, explaining the unique challenges that each country presents and how immago overcomes them.

Dealing with so many different cultures, languages, and laws is no small feat, yet immago handles it all brilliantly, helping brands expand into other countries with their local knowledge and connections. It was fascinating for me to learn about what goes on behind the scenes in this remarkable company.

Client three: Ata Regenerative

What they do

Āta Regenerative aims to help farmers change their farming techniques to a more ecologically friendly style, allowing the land to heal faster, thus slowing or perhaps even reversing the topsoil loss the world is facing.

What I love about this client

It was only after working with Ata Regenerative that I realised how bad the farming situation was around the world. According to the UN, we only have about 60 years of topsoil left to support agriculture at the current rate of degradation.

I found it inspiring to discover the ways in which Āta are trying to help the planet. From their online training to their hands-on approach, they invite everyone to join them. There is no pre-qualification required, no pre-conditions of entry and no pressure to achieve beyond the level of your own progress, just a genuine desire to change the system to a better one.

How we help all our clients

As you can see above, these three clients couldn’t be more different. That’s the great thing about Whippet Digital: We can help your business no matter what you do, and here are just a few ways we do it…

SEO

There’s no point in having a great website if Google ignores it. No matter how good your content is, if the boxes behind the scenes aren’t ticked, your site isn’t appearing in the search results. But that’s only half of it. Once you get Google to acknowledge you exist, you must show them you’re worth displaying in their results. That’s where on-page SEO comes in. We optimise individual web pages for higher visibility and better ranking in search engine results to make pages more search-engine-friendly and user-friendly.

Content

Using our incredible, handsome and modest copywriters, we can craft compelling content that resonates with your audience, enhances visibility, and realises your marketing objectives. From exciting and interesting blogs and case studies to white papers and persuasive ad copy, we’re here to take your brand’s visibility to new heights and achieve results that’ll make your competitors sit up and notice.

Social Media

It’s hard to imagine a business these days without a social media presence, but what you do with it is what counts. We help our clients understand their audience, honing in on their demographics, interests and behaviours so we can create a tailored social media content strategy that speaks directly to their wants and needs. Then, we create the content that resonates best with them before calling on our skilled social media team to make sure your posts get noticed online.

Google, Facebook and LinkedIn Ads

Targeted advertising is a powerful way to reach those who matter; otherwise, you’re just shouting into the void. Using Google, Facebook and LinkedIn Ads, you can easily reach your intended audience, boosting traffic and sales with a great ROI.
